What's why? Why are you doing this?
Wise people have said that in order to succeed in something you have to get to what? But not just the first lemma that comes up but going down more and more floors down to get to your true lemma.
This is a great exercise to try.
So what's your lemma?
For most of my life I thought my mission was to help people.
Ever since I was a really little girl, in elementary school I felt I needed to protect and help the weak. It really comes naturally to me the ability to listen, to contain, to empathize.
I was very quiet, I always listened, I almost never shared.
Even when I grew up, people always told me their troubles, even strangers.
To this day I do not forget how on one big holiday when I handed out a tasting at the supermarket a woman approached me to ask where a particular item was and while she started telling me about her fertilization treatments and the difficulties she was experiencing.
I have already been given all sorts of nicknames for the defender of the weak, the fighter for justice and more
It made the most sense for me to learn social work and continue to help people and what if not nursing to help the weak and sick.
This has always been the case, so it was clear to me that this was my destiny. And so for years while changing roles I continued to listen and empathize, counseling, helping those in need.
A few years ago I heard a lecture (yes, in the spiritual realm) and the same lecturer said we all came here to help others but each has a unique way and unique tools to do so. As simple and trivial as this sentence sounds, it pretty much shook me.
I had some resistance, how could that be? After all, people work in all kinds of professions and positions that are not related to helping others and sometimes they even seem to hurt others. I decided to research it in depth and took all sorts of examples and suddenly noticed how true this is. How really everyone in one way or another helps other people (after all, even in that we shop at the supermarket we help other people). Everyone has an impact on the lives of others.
So yes, everyone's mission is to help people but everyone has their own way of doing it and the unique tools they have been given. Check it out, it's a nice game.
The tip given to us in that lecture to find out if we are in our destiny was that if we go to work in the morning happily and the work does not tire us but fills us, a sign that we are in destiny.
So it's that for several years it's not like that for me, I feel burnout. I found that the only thing that really makes me happy or makes me happy at work is when I feel like I came out of a conversation with an employee and touched him in life in some way, that I moved something that would make him want to develop, move even if small. effect.
So after I told you my story and came across real estate by chance (after all, nothing is accidental to me), I tried to understand how it relates to my destiny.
I did the "why" exercise, the exercise again made me realize that our destiny can be found in any field.
So how do I find my real estate destination? When I look at the process I find that it is a chain of dream come true.
Have you ever counted how many people you touch and what impact do you have on the lives of others when you do real estate?
Let’s start with my partner, a young entrepreneur (when I met him he was 23) from some hole in Kansas who dreamed big, read all the right books and was full of ambition. Once he met me, his dreams began to come true and come true, puff, like magic powder, who would believe that someone from the edge of the world who speaks a language he has never heard will help someone else fulfill his dream, help him develop, grow, see he can and it's not only Write in the books (now tell me it's a coincidence, after all by chance or not in this case it's amazing), what a privilege.
This whole house-building process, I guess you're all seen stages of building a house, it's a creation out of nothing, a kind of creation. There is no house - there is a house, magic.
How many people have you influenced in this process?
The end customer, who dreamed of his own home, most people dream of their own home that will be beautiful, well-kept, that will give a sense of home and family, puff, magic powder and there is a dream home for the family and we had the right to build it and fulfill that dream. Amazing.
When we build a house (or renovate) I always like to go and visit the people who have moved in, see how they have arranged the house, look them in the eye. Give it a try, it connects and helps to understand our impact (some pictures below from a house we renovated, I found pictures suitable for the Christmas atmosphere).
A few months ago, we signed a contract with a family to purchase one of the homes we built.
They were so excited to buy this house, said it was their dream home and that's exactly how they imagined it. A few days before signing the mortgage the woman was fired from work and the bank decided not to give them a mortgage. The closing date has passed and the realtor has said she has other people interested in the house. I could not come to terms with it, I thought of the unfortunate family that not only has to deal with the dismissal of the mother but also with the loss of the dream. I decided to wait longer
(Luckily my partner is more sensitive than me and immediately agreed).
Three weeks passed and the woman found a job. The mortgage was approved and they got the house.
It was so exciting that I realized at that moment why I was there.
Investors - People trust us and put in our hands the money they have saved and collected in blood and tears. They want us to fulfill some dream of financial well-being, of progress in their lives and of their families.
What right we have such an impact what responsibility.
How many more people are we influencing along the way? Contractors, suppliers, workers, accountants and more and more.
After all this story I want to sum up and say that the impact I love most in this field is to inspire people, to be a model of getting out of the matrix, to give them drive, to believe in themselves, in their abilities, that is what makes me most happy
