An excellent episode of BiggerPockets, this time hosted by Brain Coach, Jim Quick, who focuses his life on developing methods and teaching people to develop mental abilities.
Beneficial for everything in life, in the end but when we are entrepreneurs we are required to improve our brain muscle in order to function best in the long run.
Whether it's improving our time management, task management, transaction analysis properly, being vigilant about the market situation and the state of renovation of our projects and more and more, the potential is huge!
Excellent tips for fast and cost-effective learning - this time the interviewee chose to take his great weakness in life and make it his greatest strength!
1. Fast reading - very simple to follow with something visual the text you are reading (disables the hearing of the inner voice that reads the text) and thus speeds up the reading rate by 20/25% according to him.
2. Better memory MOM
M - Motivation, ask ourselves very simple why do I want to remember this? "If they offered us $ 10,000,000 instead of remembering someone's name, would we remember?"
Once there is motivation, there is intention and there is remembrance.
O - Observation, to be in focus on what you are doing (did anyone say One Step at the Time?), Once we are in focus on trying to remember then it's much easier to remember, right?
M - Methods to do it:
A. Nutrition - avocado, blueberry, broccoli, olive oil, eggs, spinach, salmon, sardines, turmeric, walnuts, dark chocolate. Minimize processed foods, etc.
B. Killing ANT- Automatic Negative Thoughts- How positive is our thinking? Positive thinking improves the state of the brain in general and our memory abilities in particular.
third. Exercise - It is best to perform regularly.
Move, change guides during the day.
Every 30 minutes move, stretch, stand for a bit and change position from our sitting.
D. Brain nutrition - essential vitamins and minerals, DHA, essential fatty acids in general (EFA).
God. Positive Pear Group- We are a mirror of the company closest to us.
Pay attention to the following: WACTH
Words
Actions
Thoughts
Character
Habits
These make us who we are
Keep all of these in the contexts of all the sections (* Author's note - and keep in the context of who and what we want to be ????)
Beware of family and friends who sometimes have good intentions but not right thoughts.
and. An orderly environment for an orderly mind. Once the environment is organized and easy to understand (we know what we want, we know where everything is, we know what the purpose of everything is in our schedule, our tasks, etc.) the mind is calm and the commander is simply more efficient.
Easy habits for infrastructure:
Arrange the bed first thing in the morning
- Organize the folders on your computer (and organize your desktop that fills junk files that are just lazy)
- Arrange your desk / work area
For advanced:
- Plan a schedule ahead with clear goals and tasks with clear times (topic for another lecture ????, highly recommend the 4-way lecture by Gilad Polak that I follow and see since I started impressive results and prosperity in this area ????)
All these little things crystallize into self-discipline as a way of life (reward first thing you practice in the morning when making the bed)
P. sleep well-
- Good sleep is the basis for good brain function both in the short and long term
Editor's Tips (in descending order of importance):
Fixed number of hours
Regular sleeping times, even if not enough hours
- Set a sleeping area and it is only for sleeping - the bed is only for sleeping and not for TV and not for scrolling on the phone for hours, even for the strict not to read
- If you wake up in the middle of the night and can not fall asleep then go to a place with very dim lights, read a book maybe and go back to sleep when tired - the brain must learn that the bed is an area intended for sleep only
- Reduce screen hours before bed
** All of these habits are designed to allow the brain to learn to schedule entry and exit from REM deep sleep mode optimally
H. Brain protection - wear a helmet, shocks are not healthy things in the long run ????
ninth. Learning new things constantly-
- Get used to the mind learning something new every day
- The brain like any other muscle in the body, adopt it regularly in order for it to continue to develop
- Just as an older person who exercises regularly on squats with high weights in the gym will not suffer from problems getting up from the chair at his age (intentionally I did not say to go up the stairs ????) In brain function over time
. Stress management - do not let it affect, take in proportions, enjoy the road, take easily and look at things in a positive light.
- Editor's note - stress is a good thing, it makes us do things, panic however, a bad thing. Our ability to control how we accept the above things about ourselves is critical ????
- Meditation - not to control thoughts but to control without letting thoughts take over you. Concentrate on being able to concentrate.
- When we later want to analyze a deal in depth, we will need the ability to concentrate
- When we later want to conduct effective negotiations, we will need the ability to concentrate
- Practice concentrating and investing resources in something specific
3. Finally take small habits that can persevere - add something small in our diet from what we mentioned during the day, take the 10 minute break to jump rope a day or manage to keep the same amount of hours on a regular night.
- All the little things we do add up to a big and significant change in the long run (did anyone say continuous improvement?)
- It all starts and ends with us, all the good things that can happen to us will happen if we make them happen
