What is freedom / liberty / economic independence?
And why I think everyone misses the real meaning.
So I googled the phrase “economic freedom definition” and this is the first result I got.
“This is a situation where all the expenses of a person or family are covered, and financially they can cover every dream they have, and every contribution they want to make to others. Those who are in this situation can engage in an occupation that causes expensible expenses, from their money to others, and their financial situation will not be affected by it. Economic success / economic well-being, of course in the eyes of the observer. " (Credit to dafnanave.co.il)
As real estate investors, we think that if we accumulate enough capital, hold enough assets, receive enough rental income / capital gains, then we can reach a state of "economic freedom".
We can take care of the family and get out of the rat race.
So this is not שלא. What will happen if tomorrow morning I / the government / lawsuit / crisis or any other reason takes away all the assets you have accumulated for decades? Are you still independent? Can you still live free and take care of your family?
a little less…
But if over the years you have gained skills.
Those who know how to generate a high income for you in no time at all.
I do not know about you but I will feel much more free and relaxed.
Take everything from me today, cars / houses / investments / savings and leave me with nothing!
Give me a working phone, internet access and a good product to sell and within 30 days my family and I will be top earners again.
Because over the years I have accumulated tools that know how to make me money.
Tools that no one can take from me and keep me really free.
Do you agree? Do not agree?
What other tools keep you really free?
