Know those annoyances that, no matter where they are, should they be the main nail of the event?
So here's a confession - I'm such an annoyance. Ever since I can remember, I've been so annoying ...
Pleasant, my name is Ohad, 38, married to Moran and father to Lenny. Living on the edge of the Hayarkon Park in Ramat Gan and this series of posts I write in serial - because we have to employ a two and a half year old Tasmanian demon during this delusional corona ...
Born and raised in Rishon Lezion of the 80s, I studied in the first Hebrew school in the "Habib" world and then a high school with a matriculation degree in a biological-chemical trend. How not - I was on student councils of the high school and high school and already in the tenth grade I was elected high school chair… until a relatively late grade I studied Arabic and probably recommended to intelligence. So, after passing all the tests for IDF waves, I suddenly found myself inducted into Intelligence 8200. Since I did not learn Arabic but the data was good, I came to the post of a unit officer of the unit… an 18-year-old on a standard officer whispering to the omnipotent ear…
Anyone who does not know, whoever outlines the military's activities is the Intelligence Corps. All the other infantry, air, sea, connection, etc., all operate according to the intelligence of the Intelligence Corps and the Division, and in my role I managed this unit's activity with the army… These years (exiting Lebanon, the Temple Mount events, etc.) were particularly interesting Although the really interesting stuff didn't reach the media.
The years passed and I preferred not to go to the extreme and even precede the release a month to immediately start studying and not waste time. I started studying in an integrated law and business administration course at the College of Business Administration.
As early as the first year, I was elected as a law school representative in the student union, in the second year as the school chairman and in the third year as the student union chairman. I spread the studies over 5.5 years for both degrees together and served as chair of the Student Union for 3 consecutive years. To date, there has been no chairman in the country who bypassed it ??. During this time, I also served as chair of the Israeli Student Law Forum and regularly attended meetings with then-Justice Ministers (and, to my best, six or more ..), chair of the non-budgeted College Forum in Israel, and Deputy Chair of the National Student Association. I served as a member of the board of directors and director of ISTA, a director of an insurance company, a director of the College of Management and of economic companies. By the way, do you know Panjuya?… ????????
In between, I was able to travel for three months in India. Remember the same annoyance from the beginning of the post? So what is the chance that I will be in India and not meet the Dalai Lama? The fact that this is the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Tibet's exiled prime minister and the Buddhist religion persecuted by the Chinese government, did not stop me from meeting him. Twice. The second time was in Israel, together with the late Shimon Peres. In our office, the original picture depends on the personal dedication I received from him.
In 2008, I ran for Rashtan City Council. The head of the list (my dear friends and roommates in those days) is the mayor of the day. A year later, we met several student union chairmen, formed a party and ran for the Knesset (Look for Wikipedia - Zabar Party). Today number 1 on the list is MK in "There is a Future" and number 4 may be Otuto singing ... I was number 2.
There I finished my political activities (at least for two years). I simply preferred to spend more time on another activity, one that also "returns love" as opposed to politics, and gave up all the time - real estate.
Somewhere in 2008, we found a ground floor apartment in a building adjacent to our rented apartment that was for sale. Its price was NIS 650,000 per 72 sqm + adjoining courtyard. In those days it wasn't really cheap and a 5.2% yield didn't really excite us. Two guys we didn't understand too well except politics 😉
We even grew to make and utilize some connections - we thought about changing zoning and renting the apartment for kindergarten… without much investment we could reach a return of almost 15% (!) And it was even legally possible…
I don't want to describe how much the apartment is worth today and how long ago we would return the investment, but on the bottom line we didn't make the deal. We were scared, we made excuses, we explained ourselves, and then it was just sold ... So basically, my real estate activity started at a loss before I even took a dime out of my pocket. Not bad, they say that a loser can't succeed right? " Right at the beginning, "at least that's how I was comfortable thinking ... Is that true? We'll see later!
What will be here this week?
Get to know me in more depth, the next post will be completely real. Listen to the most hopeless deal that made me who and what I am today, get to know Investo and how it was born, hear about our US activities and in general, get to know my team .
And for those who haven't noticed yet, the excellent podcast we shot with Lior came up this week, so you really have a lot of me ...
Hope you'll enjoy!
Where can I see all the other posts the entrepreneurs write during the week? What unit tax is this?
