The simplest way is to knock on the door when you know the name of the owner and retrieve the information from the neighbors or tenants. The chances of success depend very much on the person and the story you are telling. I personally have a little bit of a face to face with tenants because I look like a landlord
And tenants are a little apprehensive about giving their landlord's phone number that selling the home could adversely affect them.
