Hello everyone!
What fun, it's my turn .. feel like I know a lot from the forum, follow a lot of discussions. It's really fun to have such a community that shares so much useful knowledge - both to entrepreneurs and investors.
I'm Meirav Regev-Weisblott, now a full-time real estate investor. What is better than shopping for assets ??
For years I was in a different place at all - I did a "proper" track of a bachelor's degree in marketing, a master's degree in marketing communications (studies in Chicago - that's how my affair with beautiful Chicago began). I worked in strategy departments in advertising agencies, then moved to the client side And I worked at Strauss for about 7 years as a marketing strategy manager, I made a good profit, I did interesting things, in short - everything that makes Grandma Poland proud (-:
The only connection I had to real estate was an apartment I bought in Raanana about 15 years ago. I bought myself with no real estate investment thoughts, but in retrospect, this is one of the best decisions I've ever made. ..And it turns out I did a UNR Financial deal without even knowing it (-:
Even then, there were still debates about whether it was right or wrong to invest in real estate, whether it was financially lucrative at all. But for me it wasn't a question at all. I believe in real estate. And this real estate did not disappoint (the value triples itself, the rent is much higher than the mortgage and also allowed me to take out a loan and buy some more homes in the US).
So how did I get to be a real estate entrepreneur?
After about 20 years mostly as an employee, with the biggest companies, I had the desire to start working for myself, to help those who do not have huge budgets. I went out for independence. At first I stayed in the world of marketing (marketing consultant, sales at Amazon, accompanying startups), because that's what I knew best. But the matter was no longer there 100%. What was there - I discovered that the apartment I had, which has been rented for years, is a safe source of income that does not depend on my working hours.
Don't know how self-employed here is but as an independent, there are many benefits but the biggest drawback is the lack of income certainty going forward.
At the same time, I also began to be exposed to all kinds of outrage articles that presented analyzes and predictions about future problems with the pension and I came to the realization that I had to create my own pension and financial back. Can't trust anyone else.
I came to Project X's conference and was fascinated by the possibilities that exist in the US, and decided to start creating my own pension through the US real estate.
Today I am not only full-time in real estate - flips, rentals, mentoring investors in individuals and groups, but also a mentor in Project X, and enjoying every moment.
I'm excited about the real estate world over and over again - From the possibilities and the people who are in the field - the entrepreneurs, the local field people, the investors - anyone who dares to do something that breaks the barrier of fear and takes control of his life.
I admit, I haven't read all of Entrepreneur's posts this week, don't know if I'll touch on topics that may have already been covered, but promise to bring everything from my angle and knowledge.
