Innovative or unrealistic? A real estate developer is promoting an ambitious project in Las Vegas.
At first, the company thought that construction work would begin as early as next month, but no documents were submitted to the Clark County Planning Department at all. Despite this, the company promises that the "mini-city" will receive the necessary permits and be built south of the city of sins.
Bleutech Park, which is looking to build a large real estate project in Las Vegas, made significant progress this week toward starting construction after acquiring a 210-acre (approximately 850 acres) area in the south of the city.
According to the company, the "mini city" that will be built will include state-of-the-art technology and energy efficiency. Now, with the acquisition of the area at the corner of Las Vegas and Cactus boulevards, it will be able to "advance the digital infrastructure revolution in southern Nevada," according to a statement from the company.
Despite the great optimism that the company shows, the local authorities are quite skeptical about the project. For example, the company has promised that construction work will begin later this year, but according to a Clark County spokesman, no documents have yet been submitted to the municipal planning department - a necessary step on the way to obtaining building permits.
Speaking to local media in Las Vegas, a company spokesman said: "We have held several meetings with Clark County Construction and Planning Department staff, and are currently working on filling out the applications and other documents received at the end of those meetings. We will also consult with professionals, engineers and architects. " It was further explained that the planned start date of construction, December 2019, will probably not be feasible, as the sale of the land will be officially carried out only in January.
