Once you insert the magnetic card and the light goes on, Capsule 16 looks like a scene in a sci-fi movie. The light is white and shiny, so are the walls, sheets and pillows. You can choose the lighting shade around the mirror. I choose green. If you tell me that Sigourney Weaver is currently opening the nearby capsule - I wouldn't be surprised. I close the sliding door, sit back and take a deep breath. In front of me, on the wall, hanging from a TV screen, I tap it lightly with my fingers. Upstairs are two fans and in the corner of the capsule a red extinguisher stands out. There are lots of buttons on the right side. The overall feeling is pleasant, claustrophobia is not one of my problems. Those who are confined and small spaces - about two cubic meters - afflict them may be deterred. The ceiling is 40 inches away from my nose, and I think we're back to the cave era. A two-foot-long nook and a half-foot wide gives it a little cave-like feel. Then I remember a beautiful piece from the 1991 film "Until the End of the World" by Vim Wenders, in which there is a long scene in a Japanese capsule hotel.
