A month and a half ago I sold the only property I had in the US, and got paid for it. Yesterday morning my realtor wrote to me that there are some small repairs I need to make to the property that buyers are asking me to pay for them, since I received such a notice from the municipality about six months ago. They threaten that if I do not make these corrections they will sue me. 

The thing is that when I received this request from the municipality - the house was empty of tenants, so the municipality's request was irrelevant.

What should I do? I am an Israeli citizen (not an American).
