Uniting two posts since I found out that I had planned too much…
So this post will deal with IKEA kitchens and among other things, I will show examples of several kitchens here. One of them is kitchen in a suburban (North Bergen, NJ) and how it affected the price of this house that was for rent.
IKEA kitchens
Let's start from the end, I am very fond of Ikea kitchens for a number of reasons:
1. They are modular and allow flexibility in terms of colors and types. What does that mean? If in a few more years we are fed up with the gray kitchen we have made, you can simply dismantle all the doors and the front of the drawers at an inexpensive price, replace a color or other style. The same thing happens when suddenly a drawer is scratched or something similar.
2. Price - not high.
3. Delivery time - You can enter the shop to order and a week later the kitchen comes to your home.
Why I'm less loving:
1. The process is shocking. There was not once that I had any problems with ordering. Wrong parts came, there were missing parts, once my customers lost a kitchen ... I will say to their credit that the order has always been delivered, but need to call them and wait for the line quite a while. In addition, there are dozens, not to mention hundreds of packages or kitchen items. I personally go over every order in the field myself. Nightmare.
2. You have to understand how the method works - there are specific sizes of cabinets and drawers and not much flexibility, unless you have an excellent contractor that can make some adjustments and changes.
3. The cabinets come disassembled, which means a longer installation time than cabinets that come in complex.
Should I use IKEA's design service?
I recommend working with an architect or interior designer who has experience designing kitchens and only after you have a kitchen is designed to contact their design service to make adjustments to their method. You will receive a refund for the consultation, whether in your home or in the store (in the free advice store, if I remember correctly), and you will buy the kitchen from them.
Something important to know, for example, is that the IKEA cupboards come with no finish on the side and therefore a panel with a finish must be added wherever there is a side of the cabinet.
Also indicates that in terms of quality, the quality in my opinion is very reasonable (they are made of MDF).
Attached are pictures - the first two pictures; Ikea Kitchen House Magazine. An interesting anecdote, the marble rose double from the cupboards.
This kitchen was adapted, and in one of the areas doors were ordered from a company that manufactures doors like IKEA, simply because we did not have the size we wanted and created a pull out with appropriate hardware.
IKEA kitchenette in the office (gray color) - We wanted to match the color and style of the kitchen to the rest of the space. This is a plumber office and we worked with a palette of shades of gray, light blue, green and a little yellow.

IKEA kitchen in the suburbs - this is the kitchen I will expand on. This is a house built in the 1,000s and has not undergone any major renovations since. Although the house has been expanded and one of the bathrooms has been renovated, it was several years ago. Particularly noticeable was the kitchen which was old and out of date (I attached pictures from the renovation) It was decided to renovate the house, which mainly included the opening of several walls to allow more open space, the replacement of the sink and bathroom cabinet, and the replacement of the kitchen. The style chosen is Country Lite. Ikea gray shaker model kitchen. subway tiles on the walls (very cheap), shelves and island butcher block. The house was rented at about $ XNUMX more than the market price. This is a home bought with the intention of moving in, but buyers have decided to stay in Manhattan and not move to the suburbs.
I would be happy to answer questions!

overpowering! We too at some point tried to purchase an IKEA kitchen at the end we got off of it but here it looks beautiful. And the wallpaper of the sense of forest in the kitchen - awesome.
Wow I sing you a champion, but I always disapprove of IKEA kitchens but after seeing your application here I wonder if I should continue my boycott of them
The whole design looks amazing
