On goals, relationships, and lifestyle in real estate
So in the end at least for us the reason we chose to engage in real estate is to buy us time! Quality times with family, in relationships, and time so that we can give of ourselves voluntarily for a purpose we have chosen (and about that in one of the following posts).
So yes, it is clear to us that the establishment of the business will probably work hard at its inception, but the goal should always be clear before our eyes. And as a military man until recently, this quality time with the family is so expensive ..
Choosing to study real estate together, and start a joint business was a kind of dream come true for us. It is true that the road is not always easy and requires a lot of effort, but we learn to know each other as we have never known before. Our goals are shared, and we develop together. Of course everyone in the business has their own place, and their role, but of course they share each other.
I would have trouble seeing how I was walking so significantly, without a tailwind, or vice versa.
A few months ago, we did a couple's goal workshop, in which we set our goals: in real estate, in the types of transactions, in working with investors, but also in relationships, in the family, in vacationers, etc.
We have set ourselves the number of our economic freedom, that is, how much passive income we have to produce each month, which suits our way of life. We also set a target date (of course we hope and make efforts to precede the date) as well as the method to reach the target.
We practice 4 running and strength training per week, with an amazing running instructor (also he retires), who sets us in the distance, the programs and criticizes our progress.
At the end of the day, what our daily lives look like, running together in the morning, the breakfasts, the courses and the joint workshops, the entertainment, the vacationers, has a great impact on business. We stimulate each other, and together the goal is clear.
So to sum up: real estate is done with fun and love or not, so it clearly sounds a bit rosy, and we too have difficulties, challenges and crises, but we also learn to grow from them.
So how do you have a partner?
How does your real estate affect your quality of life?
Sure there are veterans here who can give us a school in Life Style, so they'll share.
