Why do specific apartments sometimes appear with their rental range?

Obviously I understand that the building's apartments are going to be priced differently due to square footage, project specifications, etc. But some buildings in town I'm looking to move into have specific apartments (not just “one bedroom with xyz square footage” but “apartment # 456 that's available at 6/1 ”) listed with their rental price range. The range is sometimes super large, like $ 1500- $ 3500, so I guess that can't be because of someone signing a 6 month lease versus a 1 year lease. None of these buildings offer furnished apartments or….
